Nothing To Shop For

Has there ever been times in your life when you enjoyed shopping for stuff at your favorite stores, but once you've shopped for everything you've needed and wanted, you can never think of what you want to buy anymore and you end up losing interest in shopping? That's what happened to me. When I was younger, whenever I went shopping at stores such as Wal-Mart and Costco, I would always shop for anything that I wanted to buy. Mostly movies and books. But as I got older, probably in either my late teens or early 20s, I finally realized that there's nothing I want from Wal-Mart and Costco anymore. I can't think of a movie I want, or a book I want, nothing. But yet, I still go to Wal-Mart. But nowadays, we only go if there's something my grandma wants or needs to buy. I rarely ever buy anything for myself. And I still go to Costco, but only to stock up on my favorite salad dressing that's only sold at Costco. But other than that, my interests for anything to shop for is fading away. Like I mentioned before, I used to buy movies, like on VHS and DVD. But now, I rarely do that anymore. I think I might have lost interest in movies. I don't know why, I just never feel like buying new movies anymore. Or even new books. I used to like buying books, mostly kids books. Of course, I was a kid back then. At least back in the '90s and early 2000s. But nowadays, whenever I'm at Wal-Mart and/or Costco, and I'm at the book section, all I do is read most of the book, and then just place it back on the shelf. There were also times that I bought other stuff at Wal-Mart besides movies and books. I also bought stuff like blank recording DVDs, sketchbooks, and styrofoam balls. (The kind that you would use to make a model of the solar system.) But that's it, those are the only things I'm interested in buying nowadays. There are some things that I'm interested in buying, but I don't buy them because either they cost a lot of money, or if I do buy them, then it may actually complete my shopping interests permanently. I mean, why buy what you already have? I may regain interest in shopping again one day. Maybe to either buy something I might need, or to replace what I bought before that either got lost or destroyed, or if I need more of something. I mean, nobody can give up shopping forever, am I right? If any of you out there experienced the same situation as yours truly, please leave a comment below.

Sincerely yours,
John Gelder.
